EARL, THE NOT-SO GREAT WHITE SHARK

This is a draft dummy. I have used cut and dyed paper to create each illustration. I am always open to feedback and suggestions.

When a young shark would rather do ballerina flips and pretend to be a unicorn, other great whites complain, sending him on a journey of self-discovery.

This story addresses the difficulties that many members of the LGBTQ+ communities experience as they learn to understand, accept and love themselves. As a gay male, I hope this book will help children and families understand the importance of unconditional love, support and acceptance for everyone. I wanted to call this book EARL, THE GAY WHITE SHARK (and I still may) but I fear parents may not give the book a chance with a title that has GAY in it. I hope I am wrong.

Thanks for taking a look!
